There is nothing mysterious about coming up with ideas for his book. Within a page or two, you will have more ideas than you know what to do with them. Your ideas start with you. When one thinks of what he likes about his experiences and knowledge, you are guaranteed a regular source of ideas. Head to the source. 1. A generator of ideas: What is right? Make a list of 20 things you’re good. Do not think too much about this. Perhaps you are good at buying gifts for people, you have a gift for choosing just the right gift. Maybe you’re a good cook or a good father or a good swimmer or a good tennis player. Or maybe you used to be good at one or more of these things. For example: I was raised with horses and owned horses for many years. I’m good with horses, and a good pilot. If I saw a gap in the market for a horse book, I’d feel comfortable writing the book. You get the idea. Make a list of at least 20 you’re good, or have been good in the past. For example, if you know you’re an excellent gardener, even though we now live an apartment, a “list of gardening.” 2. Idea Generator Two: Tap your past experiences Experiences sell. If you have been abducted by little green men from Mars, is a book. If you’re a bigamist, a book is. There have written books about their illnesses (see the challenge into an opportunity below), their addictions, and their pets. Browse through the bestseller lists to see what personal experiences people are writing. This is where you walk along the memory lane. If you’re in your twenties, it will be a short walk. If you are in the forty years or more, will be a walk. Do not get stuck with this, the list of 20 who have had experiences that come to mind. The easiest way to get experience is to work backwards through the stages of life, or through decades. Again, do not have much time on this. Set a time limit — ten minutes is sufficient. 3. Idea Generator Three: Tap into their knowledge What do you know? Start by making a list of all items that were good in school. Below is a list of all the jobs you have had – Yes, the time counts from work. Also the list: Her hobbies. Are you a Chihuahua breeder alive? Do you quilt? Taking pictures? His current work. What are you learning on the job that other people would pay to learn? The places I’ve lived. Her hometown may be boring for you, but the guides sell well. His family tree. What special knowledge do nearest and dearest that you might have to write? Spend about ten minutes to write as many subjects as you have knowledge about. 4. Idea Generator Four: What do you love most in life? Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson freely admits that she cooks because she loves to eat. Nigella has turned her love of food into a career. It regularly produces bestselling books. (Her chocolate recipes are brilliant.) What do you like? People have written about garage sales, cosmetics, cars, vacations. If you love something, it is likely that thousands or maybe millions of people will love it too. Watch the newspapers and note current trends. Or better yet, listen to what their children are talking, or asking you to buy for them. Children tend to be well up on what is happening. Remember it will take around 5-8 months for your book to hit bookshelves. Therefore, the news of the hot topics currently on the bestseller lists may be old before your book is in stores. This does not mean, of course, that you can not write on perennial favorites like money, sex and exercise. These themes never go out of popularity, and a new twist on one of these is always a safe bet. The idea of writing about what he likes is that they bring passion and enthusiasm to your topic. Enthusiasm is a must. 5. Idea Generator Five: From challenge to opportunity You face challenges every day. Most are minor, some are big challenges. If you’ve ever faced a large, or if you’re facing one right now, then consider that the things you learn might help others. Whatever your challenge is – in the case of a move or face a potentially deadly – to others facing the same challenges, and these challenges lie the seeds of books. Make a list of 20 challenges he has faced in his life. Anything catastrophic qualifies: losing your job, facing bankruptcy, the betrayal of a spouse. If you have had a quiet life, then make a list of challenges that the people you know have faced. Additional challenges that may be considered are any patterns you have broken, from congenital lateness to overeating. When you are finished brainstorming, have dozens of book ideas. Fan failure to start. Do not delete, move them to another computer file. They call it “candy” or “bits”.

The word ‘cheap’ when describing promotional gifts often gives people the impression that the product is low quality. Low quality products are not what this article is about. There are plenty of good quality and popular cheap promotional gifts that can promote your business or build your brand around the Christmas season. Let’s face it, we do not all have huge budgets to spend on marketing. It is nice, however, if not essential that we promote our businesses and organizations and promotional gifts offer an inexpensive means of doing so.

Perhaps it is the word ‘gift’ that scares people. When you give a gift, you want it to either be well thought out or look valuable. For the sake of this article, it may be better to think of ‘promotional gifts,’ as ‘promotional items. ‘ You see, there are many reasons why you could want to use cheap promotional items in your marketing and you should not be afraid of looking cheap.

Around Christmas, many companies put on parties for their employees or take their key customers out for a meal. Any of the items listed below could be given away at a meeting or used in a party situation to help promote your company and goodwill throughout the holiday season. In fact, they could even be put in the post to your key customers with a well thought out letter more to show that you are thinking about them than to be taken as a ‘gift. ”

So here are the five most popular cheap promotional Christmas options based on the past ten years of online sales. So popular are they that it is very safe to say that your promotional gift supplier of choice will be able to supply them to you without any problem.

1. Christmas Themed Stress Balls: There are now quite a few Christmas shapes and they do not cost very much. Everyone loves a stress ball. Your printed message and logo will continue to be seen all Christmas season and probably into the New Year. They go down a treat at Christmas parties as well.

2. Christmas Themed Logobugs: A fun and fuzzy gift for pennies! These cheap promotional items can be stuck all over the office. The flag attached to the pom can carry a large logo and details. There are many Christmas characters to choose from.

3. Paper Party Hats: Perhaps these are not the best gift for your customers but everyone will be wearing them at the office party. Then again, if you know your customer is putting together a Christmas party for their own staff you could score a few points by providing the Christmas party hats printed with a discreet logo.

4. Christmas Windmills and Paper Flags: These too are very popular at parties but they could just as easily carry a Merry Christmas message from you and sit perfectly well in your customers desktop pen pot.

5. Small Christmas Tree Chocolate Baubles: Why not, it is Christmas. Present your customers or employees with one of the inexpensive and edible promotional baubles and they are sure to appreciate the gesture.

I would now like to invite you to visit my promotinal gifts website. You will find a large selection of promotional stress balls at discounted prices and of course all the popular budget gifts.

With many of us facing greater financial challenges this year than last, Christmas gift shopping poses a real threat to our budget and wallets.   We still want the holidays to be memorable for our families, yet how do we strike that critical balance between giving the perfect gift and still staying within your budget?  The answer might be easier than you think; homemade Christmas gifts are a way for you to give the best of yourself and your talents to those you love.   Homemade gifts are often more treasured by the recipient than a purchased item because they show you put in a lot of thought and effort, and thus they hold more sentimental value.

If you’d like to try your hand at making some homemade Christmas gifts this year, but aren’t sure where to start, let your hobbies and talents be your guide.   What things are you good at?  We’ve got a list of ideas to get you started.

Gardeners:If you are a gardener, you have a talent that many people envy.   The holidays are a great time for you to share the fruits of your labor with those you love.   If you grow produce, consider canning some of it at the end of the summer to give as Christmas gifts.   Homemade tomato sauces, ketchup, or salsa are all good options.   For the flower gardener, dried or pressed flower blossoms make wonderful crafts for use in bookmarks, wreaths, and arrangements.   You could also give pots of bulbs that will bloom in late winter or early spring.

Cooks or Bakers:Baked goods are always a great gift and are fun to present in a tin, basket, or on a pretty gift plate.   Another fun option is a homemade food basket with recipes and some pre-made mixes that will allow the recipient to make a meal.   For the elderly or new parents, pre-made frozen dinners and casseroles are also greatly appreciated.

Woodworkers:Homemade gift ideas from someone who enjoys woodworking are almost endless.   Toys make beautiful heirlooms that can be passed down from generation to generation.   Cutting boards are a nice gift for families, as are coaster sets and keepsake wooden boxes.

Seamstresses:If you know your way around a needle and thread, you can really get a lot of bang for your buck when it comes to Christmas gifts.   For a mother and daughter, consider matching aprons.   Unique and fashionable homemade purses or bags also made a great fit for the women on your list.   Children enjoy stuffed animals, personalized placemats, or special quilts.

Scrapbookers:Scrapbooks or memory books for loved ones make treasured gifts, especially if they record a special event, such as the birth of a baby or a wedding in the family.   Other gift ideas might include homemade gift cards featuring photos of loved ones.

Computer Whiz:For those of us who aren’t crafty with our hands, but who are very techno-savvy, consider making family calendars on the computer to give away as gifts.   The calendars can feature family photos and notations for birthdays, anniversaries, and other important family events.   Another idea, if you have the equipment, would be to take old family movies that are on VHS and transfer them to DVD.   A gift set of all the family’s home movies can be made and given to each family member.

We all have a talent or the ability to create special gift items that others will appreciate.   All we have to do is pull on our own unique talents and hobbies, add a little imagination, and anyone can create lasting memories for both the giver and recipient!

Tired of endless mall walking in search of a perfect Christmas gift that is nowhere to be found? Hate giving gift cards or gift certificates and cash just because it seems impossible to come up with anything better? This holiday season, find unique ways to let the people in your life know that you care. Get creative, get personal and get fun; get a gift that will bring joy to her or him you love this Christmas. Projects to Do and MakeInstead of toys that quickly lose their appeal, projects to make and do entertain during the process of creation and then become all the more special because they were made by the recipient. A craft set for making beaded jewelry, a T-shirt or canvas bag and special fabric crayons and pens for decorating, or a small set of wood working tools and pieces of cut wood can provide hours of entertainment. These gifts also often teach useful skills and encourage artistic abilities. Some kits can be purchased with the supplies and tools included. For a more personalized gift or to monitor the quality of the tools included a gift giver might choose the supplies and tools and pick a useful bag or box that could serve as storage later. Homemade Items that Everyone NeedsSometimes a gift item of a usable, consumable product with a personalized touch can be both affordable and appreciated. Children’s artwork can be scanned and made into calendars or greeting cards. Lip balm, bath salts, or bath oil can be made with items from the grocery and craft store. For kids simple recipes abound for play dough, homemade bath crayons, and homemade sidewalk chalk. Since everyone needs to eat, ready-to-make meal mixes such as soup in a jar or muffin and bread mix can be great gifts as well. The gift of something useful need not be boring. It can be a playful twist on the usual or something a bit more extravagant than expected. But the element of usefulness ensures the gift will be appreciated rather than stored away. Gift Tickets to Local Attractions, Museums or Performances Gifts of tickets to local attractions, museums, or performances can encourage the appreciation of the arts. Families might appreciate an annual pass to a zoo or Children’s Museum near their home. Some performing arts centers offer packets of tickets to various events. Concerts or even movie theater tickets can be great gifts especially as families cut back on the entertainment budget and such attractions become a rare treat. Instead of focusing on things to purchase, gifts that focus on activities can bring smiles and avoid both the shopping pitfalls and the return lines. Gifts that interest and give fun to the recipient need not be expensive or even purchased. With some planning and creative ideas, thought, smart gift givers can get through Christmas with some money left in their pocket.

Creative writing has always been my favourite kind of writing. To be honest, I don’t like poetry or journalism. In school I finished my first year of journalism only to decide I didn’t like it, there are too many rules.

That’s what is great about creative writing, you only have one rule; anything goes. Basically the only requirement is to figure out how you’re going to write the next great novel, are you going to draft it out via outline, brainstorm, or just go with the flow.

I like writing on the fly, I just open up a Microsoft word document and start typing. Some people can’t do this, and need organization and structure, not me.

When I quit journalism in school, it was around that time that I also stopped writing. Sometimes life just grabs you by the horns and doesn’t let you go. Years later, I felt lost or empty like I was missing something. Then suddenly I was laid off and found I had a lot of time on my hands…that’s when I started to write again.

As soon as I started creating fictional characters and story-lines, I felt like my old self again, that I could accomplish anything. I felt like a kid, who had her whole life ahead of her.

I decided to create a website http://www. creative-writing-help. com, to help people just like me re-discover the joy of writing.

Things in your life might be stressful or not going well, but writing can help you deal with those stresses. As soon as I sit down at my computer, I use my life experience to help weave wonderful stories and plots.

Currently I am in the process of getting one of my novels published, and this wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t taken up writing again.

Thanks and happy writing.
